Q1How do I renew my Green Flag breakdown cover online?
Answer: You can speak to one of our Live Chat consultants who will be able to renew your policy for you and also make any changes you may require. Please check your policy documents as your policy may be automatically renewed after it expires. Alternatively you can call our customer services team on 0345 246 1558. Q2Can I amend my breakdown cover details online?
Answer: You can make amendments online to change your name & telephone number. Alternatively you can speak to one of our Live Chat consultants who will be able to amend your vehicle, address and upgrade your level of cover. If you would like to speak to us directly please call us on 0345 246 1558 – it's that simple!
Q3Can I change my level of cover?
Answer: We know that your circumstances can change so you can upgrade your level of cover at any time. You can speak to one of our Live Chat consultants who will be able to make policy amendments including upgrading your level of cover. They will take you through your options to find the best level of cover to suit your needs. Alternatively, you can call us on 0345 246 1558 to talk to our team who be more than happy to help. If you want to reduce your level of cover you can do this at renewal.
Q4I’ve changed my mind - Will I have to pay the administration fee for cancellation of £10.60 (includes Insurance Premium Tax) if I don’t renew my policy?
Answer: No. The administration fee for cancellation of £10.60 (includes Insurance Premium Tax) is only payable if you cancel outside the 14-day cooling off period after you renew.
Q5Will I get a refund if I cancel my breakdown cover?
Answer: As long as you've not called us out we’ll give you a refund for the unused period of your contract minus a cancellation fee of £10.60 (includes Insurance Premium Tax).
Q6Do I get rewarded if I don't call Green Flag out?
Answer: You do indeed. You can earn a no-callout discount if you don't call us out. What's more, after four years without a call out, we'll protect your discount. That way you can still save money even if you do break down.

Q1How soon can I use my cover?
Answer: You can use the cover straight away as long as you weren't broken down when you purchased the policy. All other kinds of cover start at a minute past midnight on the day after your policy starts, or on the day after the start date on your schedule — whichever comes later.
Q2When would my cover start?
Answer: Your cover will start either the day after you have arranged cover for the first time or the start date you requested, whichever is later.
Q3Can I pay monthly?
Answer: Yes you can subject to eligibility, over 18's only. We give you the choice of either a monthly direct debit from your bank account or a one-off payment with a debit or credit card.
Q4I am not a member and I’ve already broken down. Can I join on the website and call you straight out?
Answer: No. The cover can’t be purchased if you’ve already broken down. However, we can still help you if you require assistance. Simply call us on 0800 051 0636.
Q5Can you help me if I am not a member?
Answer: If you’re not a member of Green Flag but you need our help, don't worry – we’re happy to help. Just call us on 0800 051 0636 and for £108 we’ll send one of our engineers to either repair your car at the roadside or take you to a local garage.
Q6Can my partner/spouse/family member come under the same cover with me? How do I add their details?
Answer: At Green Flag we cover the vehicle not the person, so no matter who is driving, the vehicle is always covered.
