A recall from Toyota over fears of sticking accelerator pedals is affecting more than two million cars in the US.
The news comes just months after another problem of the pedal becoming trapped under floor mats the affected 4.2 million vehicles judged to be at risk.
Toyota's latest decision resulted from potential problems with the pedal mechanism that could cause the accelerator to become stuck.
The Japanese car manufacturer said the accelerator could become harder to press, slower to return or become stuck, in rare cases when the pedal mechanism wore down.
It appeared that the problem was connected to the potential accumulation of condensation on sliding surfaces in the accelerator system which helps the driver push or release the pedal.
A spokesman said the firm was still working on a solution.
Models affected by the recall include the 2009-2010 RAV4, the 2009-2010 Corolla, the 2009-2010 Matrix, the 2005-2010 Avalon, the 2007-2010 Camry, the 2010 Highlander, the 2007-2010 Tundra and the 2008-2010 Sequoia.
The Avalon, Camry and Tundra models, comprising about 1.7 million cars, were also in the previous pedal recall.
The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration said they were "pleased" Toyota was taking immediate action to solve the issue.
