Geneva's motor show features the launch of Qoros' first car

Motorists tempted by what a new carmaker has been showcasing at the Geneva Motor Show will have to wait a few months before getting behind the wheel of one of its vehicles.

For although Qoros has some ambitious expansion plans it is yet to sell a single car.

Set to go on sale later this year, the firm's launch product - the Qoros 3 - was unveiled at the Geneva show. British visitors travelling to Switzerland for the show by road are advised to ensure they have European breakdown cover .

And with the manufacturer aiming to launch a new model every six months it is also displaying the concepts for two of its future cars to motor show visitors.

Qoros promises to provide a range of luxurious features, such as an infotainment system, as standard in its cars.

Its Qoros 3 model will be seeking to carve out a niche in a market segment led by the Volkswagen Golf.

Qoros' Stefano Villanti said its cars were "all European products", adding: "The company has European management and European engineers."
