HPI offers additional data to users

Customers who request a car history check from HPI will also receive the vehicle's performance data

Customers who request a car history check from HPI will also now receive additional information on the vehicle's performance data.

HPI can now provide a range of information including performance statistics and fuel consumption - as well as conformation that the vehicle is not stolen, written-off or with outstanding finance - thanks to help from the Society of Motor Manufacturers and Traders.

Nicola Johnson, Consumer Services Manager at HPI , said: "The new data from the SMMT will really help give used car buyers the fullest possible picture when buying their next used car.

"All too often when purchasing a vehicle, buyers rely on just what they can see. This extra data will ensure they get the vehicle's specification information, as well as fuel economy figures, allowing them to make an informed buying decision"

HPI check users will receive information in four categories: vehicle Description including specification, economy with fuel efficiency and CO2 emission details, performance including engine layout, performance, power and specification and dimensions such as the length, width and height of the car.
