German manufacturers have scooped the top accolades at the 2010 BusinessCar Awards.
BusinessCar Magazine's readers voted the Volkswagen Golf the Business Car of the Year. BMW received the Manufacturer of the Year award and the Environmental Award for the Efficient Dynamics package that helps reduce running costs for business drivers and fleet operators.
BMW also picked up five category awards, including class wins for the 3 Series and 5 Series models, while Audi took home a total of three class wins for the Q5, A8 and R8.
The VW Golf has always been a favourite among business car operators due to brand prestige and appeal, great running costs and a good drive, said BusinessCar Editor Paul Barker. "The new Golf has built handsomely on those foundations," he added.
"It's no surprise that such a desirable and popular product was voted Business Car of the Year by the people whose organisations depend on making the right choices - the BusinessCar readers."
