Green Flag launches Green Flag Rescue Me App for iPhone

Green Flag today announced its Green Flag Rescue Me App is now available on the App Store.  The app for iPhone and iPod touch offers a range of motoring and breakdown features, from free live streaming traffic updates to a click-to-call function, providing iPhone users with direct voice contact to Green Flag.

The Rescue Me feature of the app reinforces Green Flag’s commitment to offer the quickest possible recovery time to stranded motorists by allowing them to pin-point the precise location of their breakdown  After viewing an on-screen location map, the motorist can speak to Green Flag at the tap of a button to explain exactly where they are.

Key features include:

  • UK Traffic Updates - before setting off on a journey, the app allows drivers to keep abreast of traffic alerts in order to avoid traffic hotspots to ensure as smooth a journey as possible
  • Staying safe in a breakdown - should the worst happen and the driver does break down, the app gives comprehensive tips to help them stay safe
  • Driving Advice - advice on maintaining your vehicle, to help reduce the likelihood of it breaking down
  • Remind me - pre-program the app with key dates that you need to remember, such as when the MOT is due, when the road tax licence runs out and when your insurance is due for renewal
  • Offers - a summary of the full range of Green Flag products available
