If I break down, how long will it take for you to reach me?

At Green Flag we pride ourselves on reaching you as quickly as possible. Our national average response time is 30 minutes (data based on 925,842 nationwide call-outs May 09 - April 10). However, if you're in a vulnerable position - for example you're broken down on the motorway or a woman on her own or with children - we offer a priority response so we should be with you far faster.

It all depends on why you've broken down. However, we do fix around 86% of vehicles at the roadside (data based on 925,842 nationwide call-outs May 09 - April 10), so chances are you'll be back on the move in no time.

Green Flag covers the vehicle - what does that mean?

At Green Flag we cover the vehicle, not the driver. This means we cover your vehicle no matter who's driving it. So you can rest assured that even if it's your mum, brother or daughter, and not you, driving your vehicle they're covered if it breaks down.

Do I get rewarded if I don't call Green Flag out?

You do indeed. You can earn a no-callout discount if you don't call us out. What's more, after four years without a call out, we'll protect your discount. That way you can still save money even if you do break down.

Will I get a refund if I cancel my breakdown cover?

As long as you've not called us out during your period of breakdown cover, we'll give you a partial refund. We base the amount of your refund on a daily rate minus a cancellation charge of 50% of the annual price of your cover. Unfortunately we can't provide a refund on the European element of our top level of cover, EuroPlus. For more information, please call one of our representatives on 0845 246 1557.

What assumptions do Green Flag make when I purchase a policy?

You agree to accept that the policy will be automatically renewed each year on the payment details you provided upon purchasing, unless you ask us to cancel it for you.
